Sewing machine needle is an indispensable part of sewing machine, it is the main sewing component, its utility is to take the line to pierce the fabric, on the rebound to form a loop so that the sewing machine hook loop, finally form a stitch. Although there are many types of sewing machine needles and there are great differences in  appearance, the basic layout of sewing machine needles has something in common, at most, and most commonly, flat needles are applied in production. This paper introduces the basic layout of sewing machine needle by taking straight sewing needle as an example.
Layout of sewing machine needles
1. Needle tip - the top cone of the needle, make sure that the needle in place, do not create a gap at the top, make the needle stable.
2. Needle handle - the largest part of the whole needle diameter, for the pillar of the whole needle, through it to install the needle on the sewing machine and fixed position, have smooth processing on the needle handle, the needle is not really installed, may make the needle pop up or broken, the same model machine needle handle length and diameter are the same.
3. Needle shoulder - slightly smaller part under the needle handle, its diameter is thinner than the needle handle, thicker than the needle body, is the transition part between the needle body and the needle handle, make the needle gradually thinner, its main effect is to enhance the strength of the needle. In order to avoid the needle position randomness caused by broken needle broken material signs, generally through special treatment under the needle shoulder, let the machine needle is broken here.
4. Needle body - extending from the shoulder to the eye of the needle, in the form of a tall, is the main body of the sewing machine, its main effect is to transport thread, namely with sewing thread through the sewing material. When the needle passes through the seam material, the friction force at this position is the largest.
